Colorado Rising Stars: Law & Politics and the publishers of 5280 select the top attorneys in Colorado using a system of nominations by Colorado lawyers, peer evaluation and extensive internal research.  Only 5 percent of the total lawyers in Colorado are listed in Super Lawyers.  John R. Heronimus (Real Estate), Mechelle Y. Faulk (Family Law) and Chris G. Baumgartner (Business Litigation) were selected in 2009.

Colorado Super Lawyers:  For yet another year, David W. Furgason (Litigation) and Eugene F. Megyesy, Jr. (Environmental) were named.

Excellence Among Colorado Homebuilder Award:   Randall J. Feuerstein was the winner of this prestigious award, Associate of the Year, presented by the Colorado Association of Home Builders at the annual Rocky Mountain Builder Conference in Beaver Creek, Colorado on October 1, 2009.

Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training ("COBALT"):  Mechelle Y. Faulk was nominated as a participant in COBALT in 2009.  COBALT is an interactive leadership training program designed specifically for lawyers with demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to the legal community.  In order to participate, a lawyer must be nominated and chosen after submission of an application.  The applicant must provide, among other things, a list of prior leadership roles inside and outside the legal profession and choose an issue facing the legal profession they believe is critical and will require leadership skills to improve or resolve.  The progam focuses on strong leadership skills and how to address challenges facing leaders in the legal community and the community in general.
