Mark Valentine, Associate
Mark brings significant public utilities and administrative law experience to Dufford & Brown. Beginning in 2003, Mark spent over three years working as counsel to the Public Utilities Commission, and then began representing clients before the Commission in private practice. He has appeared before the Colorado Supreme Court and the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals arguing transportation and telecommunications matters, respectively.
He also has represented the policy interests of clients during rulemaking proceedings before the Public Utilities Commission and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Having served as a Senior Legislative Analyst before the Joint Budget Committee of the Colorado General Assembly, Mark has an in depth understanding of the Colorado Budget process, the laws that guide the development and implementation of the budget and the legislative process. Mark enjoys obtaining a sound understanding of a client’s business and goals so that he can best represent them before government agencies.
