Purchase/Sales/Financing
Dufford & Brown attorneys have substantial experience with acquisition and disposition of vacant land, personal residences, farms
and ranches, condominiums, and commercial projects such as retail businesses, office buildings, industrial buildings, apartments, and
shopping centers. As part of our representation, we routinely draft and negotiate purchase agreements, transfer documents and other
related documentation necessary to close the transaction. While assisting our clients with the acquisition or disposition of real
property, we are able to perform due diligence on the project, including the review of title insurance commitments and supporting
documentation, surveys, water rights, and environmental aspects of the property to make sure our clients are fully informed. If problems
surface during the due diligence phase, we help our clients negotiate with the other party, title insurance companies, and governmental
entities to resolve those issues.
Dufford & Brown has also represented lenders and borrowers on financing real estate transactions. Such representation includes the
drafting and negotiation of loan documents, as well as the drafting of specific Legal Opinions with respect to the impact of Colorado
Law on the overall loan transaction.
